DBT Appoints New Head & Expands Management at DBT in China 

 

    

Paul Bracher

    China's economic growth results in an al!most insatiable demand for raw materials, and particularly for coal. To meet the demands of the growing market, the DBT Management Board has taken steps to strengthen the company's position and boost the management team at DBT in China. 
    Paul Bracher, former CEO of DBT Africa will take over as CEO of DBT in China from March 1, 2005. With a background in marketing & sales, business development, service, manufacturing and quality assurance, Paul Bracher joined DBT Africa as CEO in 2002. 
    During his three years at the helm he achieved successes including winning back a major account as well as upgrading facilities, increasing local manufacturing and reducing turnaround times at the Germiston site. This led to a very positive shift in customer perception of service as well as an increase in returns. Paul Bracher also introduced DBT products into the hard-rock market. 

 

 

 

 

Helen Fu


    He will be joined on the newly formed management team by Peter Cebula, Managing Director of DBT
China since July 2001, as well as by Helen Fu, who becomes Vice President Finance. A bilingual Chinese national, Helen not only brings an intimate knowledge of Chinese business and culture, but also broad experience in financial management for both local and foreign companies operating in China. Uwe Schwier, Managing Director of DBT in Beijing since October 2001, will leave the company. 


    With a Representative Office in Beijing and manufacturing facilities in Langfang, Tangshan and Shenhua, Inner Mongolia, DBT China maintains close ties to key customers. The local company also sells and maintains the full range of DBT mining equipment for longwall, room & pillar and material handling operations. cl
